It’s Armed Forces Night This Coming Saturday At The Woodhull Raceway
Story By: MEGAN DUPUY / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL,NY – This weekend June 8 Universal Plant Service will come in from Trout, LA to help present the racing action.
Universal Plant Services has 15 strategically located full-service facilities. They provide project management, installation, maintenance and repair services for rotating and fixed equipment for daily maintenance requirements, turnarounds and capital projects. They have been in business for over 30 years.
Annually, Woodhull Raceway sets aside a night for those who served for our country. Armed Forces Night allows all active duty and veterans free admission.
It will be a complete show June 8 which means, Insinger Performance Modifieds, NAPA Crate Sportsman, Cummings Trucking Crate Late Models, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, Johnson’s Auto Supply FWD, and Daugherty Auto Sales and Service Mini Stocks and Woodhull Warriors.
The Insinger Performance Modifieds will go 35-laps in memorial of George Williams. This race length was transferred over from the May 25 show that got washed out. The Daugherty Auto Sales and Service will go an extra ten laps, making their distance 30-laps.
Fans who have rain checks from May 25 can them this weekend, June 8 only. The weather hasn’t been kind to racers. The Scott Dennison Memorial for the Joe Willcox Performance Street Stocks 35-lap and Daugherty Auto Sales and Service Woodhull Warriors 15-lap races will be made up in the upcoming weeks.
Fans can find their way into the grandstands for just $12 for adults and kids 13 years and older. 65+ and ages 8-12 are just $6. Kids 7 and under are always free. The grandstand gates open at 4:30pm with Tony Van Pelt’s first green flag at 6:30 for heat races. Camping is always free at Woodhull Raceway!
