Brent Marks Continuing 2019 World Of Outlaws Campaign Into Texas
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRENT MARKS RACING – MYERSTOWN, PA – Despite a tough outing in the Sunshine State, highlighting his four-race stretch at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville with an 18th place finish during All Star Circuit of Champions competition, Brent Marks remains highly optimistic, already looking forward to his visit to Texas with the World of Outlaws in less than two weeks.
“That wasn’t how we wanted to start our 2019 season, but we’ll take those results and move forward,” Brent Marks explained, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “We have about a week and a half to get ourselves regrouped before we race in Texas. It’s always exciting for us to have the opportunity to race in Texas because M&M Painting and A. Murray Family Investments are headquartered there. The entire Murray family plays such an important role with this race team. I’m excited to get the chance to race in their backyard again.”
Following his 18th place finish against Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions on Wednesday, February 6, Brent Marks continued his Volusia Speedway Park visit and officially kicked off his 2019 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a pair of starts on Friday and Saturday, February 8 & 9. Although forced to utilize a pair of World of Outlaws provisional starting positions after not qualifying through preliminary action, the Myerstown, Pa., native did what he could to recover successfully. Unfortunately, Brent Marks Racing settled for 22nd placed finishes after starting 26th and 25th, respectively.
Up next on the schedule, Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will travel over 1,000 miles west from Barberville, Fla., to the Lone Star State where the World of Outlaws will invade Cotton Bowl Speedway and LoneStar Speedway on Friday and Saturday, February 22 & 23, respectively.
An impressive feat, nonetheless, the 2019 season will be year three for Marks as a full-time competitor on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series trail.
