RPW Exclusive: Modified Racer Steve Hough Helping To Make Lebanon Valley Stronger For ’19

Column By: RACE PRO WEEKLY – WEST LEBANON, NY – The term ‘all in’ is set for anyone who’s part of a team. Well, in regards to the Lebanon Valley Speedway, that is being taking to a whole new level with one driver, or should we say advertising person…Steve Hough.

Not only does Steve race at the Speedway in Big Block and Small Block Modified, he has also sponsored several race cars over the years. Now he’s getting more involved with the track itself as he’s begun to help in the advertising department at the West Lebanon, NY oval.

“Lebanon Valley is my home away from home,” Hough said. “I’m working with the track this year to generate more sponsorship money so we can have some bigger paying races this year.”

Hough is working to get the advertising spots in top shape as the Valley gets ready for another season of action.

“We are stepping things up this year,” he said. “The walls are being painted and we’re working to give the sponsors the biggest bang for their buck.”

Hough has been working hard to get things moving with his new position, including beating down doors, making calls and working Social Media. He’s serious about making this a great season for the racers at the Valley.

“I sold $7,000 worth of sponsorship on Tuesday alone,” he said. “We’re working to compete with many of the other tracks around who are stepping up their program and we’re doing the same. I love this place. I’m more then just a racer. I’ve been helping racers for 20 years and I want to keep that going.”

There are plenty of places that potential advertisers can have their logos at the Valley including frontstretch barriers, backstretch billboards, signage on the midway and on the huge multi-suite tower. You can even have your own room inside the speedway’s spacious tower high atop the track. Several opportunities are available.
