Hamlin Speedway Looks Forward To The 2019 Season

Story By: STEVE PADOS / HAMLIN SPEEDWAY – HAMLIN, PA – The Smith Family and the Hamlin Speedway Staff would like to wish all of our loyal sponsors, drivers, teams and racing fans the very best wishes for a joyous Christmas and Holiday season.

The 2018 season at Hamlin produced another great season of racing excitement and has continued to do so since the Smith Family took over the promotional reigns in 2006. The speedway’s determined efforts and attention to detail to give the fans their money’s worth on Saturday nights during the racing season provided a great place to enjoy thrilling side by side racing all season long. Through the great efforts of the very loyal work force and competitors at the speedway, the great racing shows at Hamlin continue to shine and rise above the competition. The spirit from the great network of support enables all of us to embrace what good friends and family truly mean to us as we spend precious time with family and friends during the extended holiday season.

The Hamlin Speedway will re-open in the Spring and will mark the fourteenth season the speedway has been under the guidance of the Smith Family. From all early indications, the 2019 racing season will once again rise above the great success the Smith Family has enjoyed since taking over the controls of the speedway that closed in the summer of the 2005 season. The Smith Family jump-started the Speedway in 2006 and each season has brought an abundance of new cars and budding racing stars to the forefront in small car division racing. With additional drivers already signing on to race at the speedway for the 2019 racing season, the already solid car counts the speedway will take another giant leap in numbers for the planned new season ahead. Drivers from the seven incumbent divisions of competition operating at the speedway will once again shuffle the deck with their racing programs for 2019 as some drivers from the Junior Slingshot division will make their transition into the All Star Slingshot ranks for the new season ahead. The Rookie 600 Sprint division will see a new brigade of first timers seeking to make their mark at the premier racing facility in the Poconos while some of the 2018 stars of the division will take the leap into the Regular 600 Sprints.
