RPW Exclusive: Six Drivers Earn Final Starting Spots in Eastern States 100 Through the B-Main

Column By: JOHN DOUGLAS / RPW – MIDDLETOWN, NY – Andy Bachetti, Kenny Tremont, Tommy Meier, Shane Jablonka, Craig Mitchell and Michael Sabia have earned the final six starting positions in tonight’s Eastern States 100 for the Small Block Modifeds at Orange County Speedway. However, first the C-main had to be run to fill the field for the final chance to make the big dance.

Jackie Brown Jr. made a late race pass on Kenny Ferrier to pick up the victory in the 15 lap C-main, Both would transfer to the B-Main, Chris Shultz, Anthony Flanga and Jeremey Markle completed the top five finishers, however their weekend has come to an end, along with the other remaining 19 drivers.

The B-Main was dominated by Bachetti as he grabbed the lead early and held on to the advantage throughout the event. Kenny Tremont’s No. 115 finished in second place after trying to charge late in the going. Tommy Meier finished just over two seconds back of the lead duo.

Michael Sabia will start from the final position in the 100 lap main event after charging through the field in the 25 lap event.
