RPW Exclusive: Brett Hearn Dominates the 358 Small Block Dash for Cash at OCFS
Column By: JOHN DOUGLAS / RPW – MIDDLETOWN, NY- Brett Hearn was dominant in his victory over Matt Janiak in Saturday’s Small Block Dash for Cash as part of Eastern States Weekend. The No. 20 started on pole as the first heat race winner and quickly jumped out to a big lead.
Janiak’s trail to second in the dash however, was a bit more competitive as he jockeyed for position with Yan Bussiere and Gary Edwards Jr.. Brian Krummel completed the top five.
Peter Britten, Marc Johnson and Rick Laubach completed the field of eight drivers.
“You want to start on the front row obviously, but the only mistake we’ve made as a team is the draw for qualifying position. Hearn said. “I think this is a confidence builder, I’m happy with that.”
