Danny Dietrich Scores Trio Of Top-Tens In Two Days In Central PA
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / DANNY DIETRICH RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – Danny Dietrich accomplished an impressive feat during his recent weekend of competition, not only securing three consecutive top-ten finishes in Central Pennsylvania, but earning two of them on the same day.
Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Gsell’s Whitetails/Hickory Run Orchards/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car, finished third, second and eighth, respectively, during his weekend triple, kicking things off with a third place performance at the Port Royal Speedway ‘Speed Palace’ on Friday, October 12. Although battling in the runner-up spot on the white flag lap, last minute contact with the outside retaining wall cost Dietrich momentum, as well as a position, eventually crossing under the final checkers third in the running order.
Saturday, October 13, was a busy day for Danny Dietrich, successfully entering two events at two different facilities. The end result was success, scoring back-to-back top-ten finishes including a runner-up performance at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway during the early parts of the afternoon. Dietrich capped off the day with an eighth place finish at BAPS Motor Speedway.
“That was fun. We enjoy days like that,” Dietrich said of his Central PA double. “It was kind of the tracks to work together to allow something like that to happen. A bunch of teams did the double, so it was cool to be a part of that. Hats off to my team for making something like that possible. It’s never easy to pull off a double like that. When the end result is success, it makes everything so much better.”
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will take a weekend off before returning to competition on Friday and Saturday, October 26 & 27, at Port Royal Speedway.
