Brent Marks Ends World Of Outlaws Weekend Sixth At Eldora Speedway; Kansas Bound

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRENT MARKS RACING – MYERSTOWN, PA – Eldora Speedway has been kind to Brent Marks in 2018, and that certainly was the case again this weekend during the #LastCallForThemAll.

Marks, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/Buckwalter Trucking/No. 19, earned a top-ten finish at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, this time advancing from 12th to finish sixth on a slick, but racey Eldora Speedway surface.

The top-ten performance, Marks’ 27th of the 2018 season during World of Outlaws competition, capped off a weekend that included two starts in two states, the first at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track on Saturday, October 13. The ‘Myerstown Missile’ finished 17th at the historic half-mile, a slight improvement after starting on the outside of row ten.

“It’s tough to think we are already halfway through October. The year really flew,” Brent Marks said, who earned a first-ever Eldora Speedway victory during the 4-Crown Nationals. “It wasn’t the weekend we wanted to have, but we’ll take the positive result on Sunday at Eldora and move forward. I’m proud of my team and I appreciate their hard work. The end is near. I think we are ready for it.”

Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will continue their 2018 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series campaign with a two-day sweep through the Sunflower State, first visiting Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Friday, October 19, followed by a stop at Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday, October 20. The ‘Myerstown Missile’ will enter the Kansas doubleheader ninth in the Series championship standings, padded in the rankings by three victories.
