360 Sprints Join Short Track Super Series Modifieds October 18th At Orange County

Story By: BRETT DEYO / SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – MIDDLETOWN, NY – The kickoff to Eastern States Weekend has gotten even more exciting.

On Thursday, October 18, Orange County Fair Speedway will host the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco in the Behrent’s Performance Warehouse ‘Hard Clay Finale’ honoring Rich Eurich. This 50-lap big-block/small-block Modified event offers $10,000 to win and $1,000 to take the green flag.

And there’s more! The Modifieds will now be joined by 360 Sprint Cars in a 25-lap main offering $3,000 to the winner and $300 to take the green flag.

The 360 Sprint Cars will compete for a healthy pay structure as follows: 1) $3,000; 2) $2,000; 3) $1,000; 4) $700; 5) $550; 6) $470; 7) $430; 8) $420; 9) $410; 10) $400; 11) $370; 12) $350; 13) $330; 14) $325; 15) $320; 16) $315; 17) $310; 18) $305; 19-Last) $300.

This blockbuster STSS Modified-360 Sprint Car doubleheader sets up a huge kickoff to the four-day festival of speed known as the 57th Eastern States Weekend.

The STSS Modified portion of the program will serve as the ninth and final STSS Halmar International North Region event of the season, crowning a $12,500 champion.
