CRSA Sprints Double Up Saturday At Land Of Legends Raceway
Story By: TOBY LAGRANGE / CRSA – CANANDAIGUA, NY – The SuperGen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA Sprint Car Series returns to the Land of Legends Raceway this Saturday night with a highly anticipated, action packed show. In addition to the scheduled 25-lap A-Main event, the held over 25-lap, $1,000 to win event will be on the card. The event was rain postponed from June 23rd.
In addition, the inaugural McGuire Family of Dealerships Dash for Cash will be held. This event was also postponed from June 23rd. The following drivers will make up the dash for cash – Thomas Radivoy, Billy VanInwegen, Jeff Trombley, Alysha Bay, Brandon Griffin and Darryl Ruggles. These drivers raced their way into the dash for cash by finishing in the top three positions during the Friday June 22nd A-Main event or winning their heat race on June 23rd.
Those six drivers are locked into the top three rows of the $1,000 to win, A-Main event from June 23rd. In addition to the $1,000 to win and $150 to start purse, many random contingencies will also be awarded. As with each 2018 CRSA event, each event will see the Magsarus Ignitions Electrifying Move of the Race and Powder Tech Powder Coatings Hard Charge Awards presented.
Coming into Saturday nights double feature program, Altamont’s Jeff Trombley holds the overall points lead. Trombley has a commanding 34-point lead over Radivoy. Tyler Jashembowski, Emily VanInwegen and Justin Mills round out the top five.
In addition to being rounds number nine and ten of the overall SuperGen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA Series, the events will be rounds number three and four of the CRSA/Land of Legends Challenge Mini-Series. Heading into Saturday nights action Darryl Ruggles holds a four-point lead over Dan Bennett in the mini-series. Erik Karlsen, Trombley and Emily VanInwegen follow.
