Brianna Ladouceur Ends Winless Drought With Bicknell
Story By: MANDEE PAUCH / BICKNELL RACING PRODUCTS – HOGANSBURG, NY – The young woman out of Cornwall, Ontario, Brianna Ladouceur, has made quite the statement in her 2018 Bicknell Racing Products No.15b at Mohawk International Raceway.
Ladouceur, who started racing at the age of 15, races at both Mohawk International Raceway and Cornwall Motor Speedway in her Olsonfab Metal Fabrication, Twin Leaf No.15b sportsman.
After struggling for quite some time, her father, Mike Ladouceur, spoke with a fellow driver last season who mentioned trying a Bicknell chassis.
“In late fall my dad asked me if I was willing to try a Bicknell,” she said. “I was a little hesitant to switch over. My dad then spoke with Randy Williamson and Bobby Slack about purchasing a Bicknell. They told us that they would help us with their knowledge and support to make this transition easy.”
Ladouceur was fast right off the trailer in her new chassis this season, scoring a sixth-place finish her first night out.
“My season has started off very good with my new cars,” Ladouceur added. “We were fast as soon as I hit the track and only had to make a few adjustments the first nights out to keep my cars competitive.”
Ladouceur recently made heads turn at Mohawk by picking up back-to-back wins in her new Bicknell machine. On June 1st, Ladouceur took the No.15b machine to victory lane for her first win of the season, then went off to take the checkered flag once again the following week.
“Our experience with Bicknell has been very good,” she added. “The team at Bicknell helped us go through the car by showing us how to scale and to make adjustments for different race tracks and conditions. I had no troubles switching over. The only thing my dad had to change for me was the peddles and steering location. I wanted them to be in the same position as my other cars. I did notice a lot of room in the cockpit which I like.”
Despite minor changes that needed to be made in her transition to Bicknell, Ladouceur has proven the change to be worth it.
“Things are looking much brighter so far this year.”
Ladouceur is currently in the points chase at both Mohawk International Raceway and Cornwall Motor Speedway.
