Grandview Speedway Set For Two Big Nights Of Racing On Memorial Day Weekend

Story By: ERNIE SAXTON / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – NASCAR sanctioned short track stock car racing will be the attraction at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night (May 26) kicking off two big nights of dirt track racing as part of Memorial Day weekend excitement.

The Saturday night show will feature the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Models. The tripleheader card of excitement will have racing starting at 7:30 p.m.

At least 12 events of stock car racing will be presented with 28 cars going to the starting line in the 30-lap Modified feature race while Late Models and Sportsman will each race in 25-lap main events after a full series of qualifying events.

Modified point leader Brett Kressley will be looking for his second win of the season with strong competition coming from the likes of Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Mike Gular, Frank Cozze and a host of other talents.

Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and that is when the Low Down and Dirty Internet radio show will be presenting their weekly Meet and Greet with drivers and cars on display. This week Sportsman racers Nathan Mohr and Ken Eckert Jr. will be there along with Modified talent Justin Grim.

Admission for the Saturday night action packed racing is just $15 for adults while youngsters under 12 are admitted FREE. There is free parking on the speedway grounds.

And the second part of the Memorial Day weekend action at Grandview will feature the first Pioneer Pole Buildings Thunder on the Hill Racing Series events on Sunday, May 27th with the 21st Annual Traffic Jam Big Block/Small Block Modifieds main event, a 40-lapper paying $5,000 to win, topping the show. Also included will be the Sportsman stock cars along with the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series. Gates open at 5 p.m. while starts at 7:30 p.m.

Fans will have the opportunity to see top names in Modified stock car racing along with rising stars in Sportsman and Sprint car racing in the Sunday action.

Adult admission is $25 while youngsters 6 – 11 paying $10. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Admission to the pit area, no license required, is $35.
