World Of Outlaws, USAC Create Wabash Clash Sprint Car Spectacular At Terre Haute
Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / WORLD OF OUTLAWS – TERRE HAUTE, IN – USAC Racing and the World of Outlaws will come together Oct. 12-13 at the Terre Haute Action Track for the Wabash Clash, creating Indiana’s biggest fall weekend of sprint car racing.
USAC National Sprint Cars tackle the historic half-mile speedplant on Friday, Oct. 12, before the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars roll into Terre Haute on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Season-long championship battles will be heating up for both series, creating an intense atmosphere in the heart of Indiana sprint car country. Chris Windom is trying to secure a second-consecutive USAC National championship, but Kevin Thomas Jr. might stand in his way. Last October it was Thomas who captured the victory, ending Windom’s three-race win streak at Terre Haute. Meanwhile, Donny Schatz is aiming to make it a perfect 10 as the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car champ. Schatz was the last Outlaw to win at Terre Haute, taking the checkers in 2014.
