Freedom Motorsports Park’s Rescheduled Opener To Start 2018 May 18th
Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – Mother Nature refused to cooperate with Freedom Motorsports Park last week and the postponed season opener will now take place this Friday, May 18. Primetime Energy Services and Pepsi night will feature the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds, Dialed Designs DIRTcar Sportsman, Cummings Trucking Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman Plumbing Mini Stocks.
The first green flag of the year is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

Pepsi is the official soft drink of Freedom Motorsports Park. The Checkered Flag Food Court shines with the joy of cola’s as all of your favorite ice cold Pepsi products are available at the track including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Brisk, Sierra Mist, Mug Root Beer, Twister Orange Soda and Aquafina water.
Modified drivers from New York, Pennsylvania and Canada will be in competition as the Outlaw Modifieds enter their second season at the fast 1/3 mile oval.
Four 2017 Modified Champions will make their home at Freedom in 2018. Lernerville Speedway champion Matt Williamson, Mercer Speedway champion Jimmy Holden, defending Freedom champion Adam Hilton and Woodhull Speedway champion Bill Van Pelt will all be chasing the 2018 Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modified title. This is a result of the track’s Outlaw Modified rules which allow for an array of tire, chassis and engine combinations that produces incredible racing each and every Friday night.
Street Stock Champion Dennis Cummings and Cummings Trucking will be adding $$$$ into the Outlaw Modified and Street Stock purses on opening night. The Primetime Energy Services Outlaw Modified winner and the Cummings Trucking Street Stock Winner will each receive an extra $100 and positions 2-5 in the Street Stock feature will each receive an extra $25.
Coming up on Friday May 25, it will be the fourth annual Ron Baker Memorial brought to you by Bob McKerrow & Sons RV. This special event will showcase the first visit of the Murphy’s Logging ULMS Super Late Models. The Super Late Models will also be at Freedom on July 13, August 10 and September 15.
The grand opening of the 2018 season is this Friday, May 18. Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission for Friday May 18 is only $14, $13 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
