Freedom Motorsports Park Gears Up For Opening Night This Friday
Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – Big and Small Block Outlaw Modifieds are the featured attraction at Freedom Motorsports Park as the high powered cars roar to life on Pepsi opening night.
Joining the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds each Friday night will be the Dialed Designs DIRTcar Sportsman, Cummings Trucking Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Plumbing Mini Stocks. The first green flag of the year is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday May 11.
Opening night is brought to you by Pepsi, the official soft drink of Freedom Motorsports Park. As the weather finally heats up, it will be love for the joy of cola’s as all of your favorite ice cold Pepsi products are available at the track including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Brisk, Sierra Mist, Mug Root Beer, Twister Orange Soda and Aquafina water.
Modified drivers from New York, Pennsylvania and Canada will be in competition as the Outlaw Modifieds enter their second season at the fast 1/3 mile oval. Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modified Champion Adam Hilton will face a major challenge to his title as 2017 feature winners Billy Van Pelt, Shayne Pierce, Matt Williamson and Brad Rapp will be among the drivers gunning for the crown.
Add in potential winners and top point men Phil Vigneri III, Ray Bliss, Tony Pangrazio, John Venuto and Patrick Emerling and you have an incredible show each and every Friday night. You have to see an Outlaw Modified race at Freedom to appreciate how exciting racing can be.
The Dialed Designs Dirtcar Sportsman Modifieds will be led to the line by two time Freedom Motorsports Park champion Brad Rouse, who took four wins in 2017 and won the title on the last night of the season for the second year in a row. Winners Kyle Inman and Adam Leslie who were runners-up to Rouse will be looking for their first Freedom title.
In the Cummings Trucking Street Stocks, Dennis Cummings won his first ever feature, was the leading Street Stock winner and captured his first ever point title. Holden Heineman took down his second championship in the Danny Heineman and Sons Mini Stocks. All 2017 champions are returning to defend their crowns.
Who will grace victory lane on Pepsi night at Freedom Motorsports Park? The grand opening of the 2018 season is this Friday, May 11. Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission is only $14, $13 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
