Affordable Family Fun Racing At Fulton Speedway This Coming Weekend

Story By: DAVE MEDLER / FULTON SPEEDWAY – FULTON, NY – After last Saturday night’s exciting racing that featured side-by-side battles for victories and first-time winners, the Fulton Speedway is ready to do it again this Saturday, May 19 on Regional Truck & Trailer night.

On the fast paced, exciting, family affordable race night will be the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and a visit from the Mod Lites.

Adult grandstand admission is $12 with everyone 18 years old and under free. Pit admission is $27 Member, $30 Non-Member. Grandstands will open at 5:00 pm with racing set to begin at 7:00 pm.

A look back at the May 12th racing:

In the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Larry Wight and Tom Sears Jr. put on a side-by-side, back and forth battle for the lead with Wight grabbing the win. Tim Sears Jr., Pat Ward and Jordan McCreadie finished third through fifth.

For the second week in a row over 60 DIRTcar Sportsman signed into the pits setting up three 25 lap features. High School students Tyler Thompson and Jackson Gill picked up their first ever Fulton wins with popular Jessica Power racing to her second ever Fulton victory.

Wow! Is all that could be said about the 20-lap RUSH Late Model feature. For most of the race Kevan Cook and Bret Belden ran side-by-side just inches apart with AMB scoring showing Cook winning by 0.283 of a second at the finish.

Tyler Murray won his first ever Novice Sportsman feature. Kearra Backus, Jake Davis, Quinn Wallis and Robert Gage finished second through fifth.
