Nick Fretto First King Of Dirt Sportsman Driver Registered; Will Contend For Newcomer Of The Year

Story By: ROB HAYES / KING OF DIRT – FONDA, NY – Ballston Lake New York driver Nick Fretto is the first driver to officially register for King of Dirt Racing Sportsman Modified competition during the 2018 season.

The young gun will test his talents on tour for the first time, as he attempts to earn the Newcomer Of The Year honors. The Fretto Racing team has two cars in their stable for the season, which makes running weekly and following the KOD Sportsman tour easier.

Fretto will drive a pair of Bicknell chassis, which are owned by his father Frank. He’ll carry solid support from sponsors that include Fretto Industrial Cleaning, Riberdy Contracting, Koval Electrical, Northeastern Fine Jewelry, No Limit Detailing, Latham Ford, and Spraker Racing Enterprises.

On Friday nights during the summer months you can find young Nick Fretto battling some of the best in the Sportsman Modified division at Albany Saratoga Speedway and he’ll gain valuable experience following the King Of Dirt Racing Sportsman tour, where he has the potential to earn Newcomer Of The Year.

The official registration form required by all drivers is available via the website on the rules page. All drivers competing in any King Of Dirt Racing event must fill the form out, which will also be available at the track. To avoid lines or waiting at the track it is suggested to print it out, fill it out, and mail it in.
