Plenty To See At The Syracuse Motorsports Expo This Weekend
Story By: JEREMIE CORCORAN / SYRACUSE MOTORSPORTS EXPO – SYRACUSE, NY – This weekend the 32nd Annual Syracuse Motorsports Expo under the promotion of Jeremie Corcoran will open its gates to race fans of all kinds from all over the Northeastern United States and Canada.
The Expo brought to you by FX Caprara Car Companies, Ferris Mowers and VP Racing Fuels as presenting sponsors along with Super Gen Products/Champion Generators, Hummel Motorsports, Velocita, Superior Steering Wheels and Power Seal as associate sponsors.
Fans will have plenty to see once they come through the front doors on March 10 and 11. As an added surprise, the first 10 kids 10 and under each day will receive a free tee shirt thanks to Bob Hilbert SportsWear. The show will be open 10-8 on Saturday and 11-4 on Sunday. Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12 an FREE for 5 and under. A weekend combo pass can also be purchased for $20.
Many saw Tim McCreadie’s incredible run from deep in the field to win the final event at Volusia Speedway to collect the $5,000 and the overall championship receiving the Gator Trophy. His Sweeteners Plus #39 big block will be at the Weedsport Speedway display.
There is also much more to see…Defending Super DIRTcar Series champion Matt Sheppard’s #9 will be on display at the Land of Legends Speedway booth…Lucas Oil ESS defending champion Jason Barney will have his #87 headlining the ESS booth display…rookie of the year candidate for the Race of Champions Tour Keith Heroth will have his sharp as asphalt modified displayed…Airborne Park Speedway will be on hand with successful sprint car driver Danny Varin displaying in their booth…Larry Wight will be doing a lot more sprint car racing in 2018 with the Outlaws/All-Stars and ESS, his winged machine will be in the Brewerton Speedway booth…Jamie Moore’s beautiful Jim Shampine super modified restoration will also be inside the Expo and much more!
Pit Stop contests are to be held both days and North East Mud Boss RC racing series will hold events each day as well.
