McCreadie Takes Home Big Gator From DIRTcar Nationals Running A Bicknell Race Car

Story By: MANDEE PAUCH / BICKNELL RACING PRODUCTS – BARBERVILLE, FL – Everyone who competes at Volusia Speedway Park for the DIRTcar Nationals competes for one thing and one thing only – the gator.

‘T-Mac’ Tim McCreadie was able to not only collect one gator but three of the coveted DIRTcar Nationals gators.

Earlier in the week McCreadie collected his first gator in his World of Outlaws late model Tuesday night. The following evening, he found himself in victory lane once again but this time in his Bicknell Racing No.39 Big Block Modified.

Going into the final day of the DIRTcar Nationals, McCreadie had a strong point lead for the championship. Due to running double duty that night, McCreadie said he was unable to give the right feedback to his team and left several drivers very hopeful after failing to qualify for the 50-lap main event.

Given a provisional, McCreadie was forced to start 27th out of a 28-car field, making his Saturday night victory anything but easy. Starting deep in the field it took until the later half of the race for McCreadie to work his way up to the front, trying to put himself in contention for the top spot. It was his pass for the lead in the last few laps of the race that brought the house down, passing Stewart Friesen who had showed a strong lead on the field.

McCreadie’s charge through the field and late-race pass earned himself his first DIRTcar Nationals Big Gator.
