Matt Larrivee Returns To Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour In 2018

Story By: JEFF CIGLICH / DIRT MODIFIED NOSTALGIA TOUR – FORESTPORT, NY – Matt Larrivee has raced just about everything on wheels. The 41 year old Baillie Lumber employee started his career at 15 years of age.

Competing and winning races in enduro’s, Pure Stock’s, Street Stocks, 4 cylinder trucks and Legends cars at tracks across northern and central New York state including Can Am, Evans Mills, Adirondack, Utica Rome and Fonda. In addition to running the DMNT series last year Matt also campaigned his own entry with the New York Super Stocks series.

Teaming up with good friend and car owner Tom Belewich last year, Matt won a couple of Nostalgia class features at Paradise and Airborne Speedways. In fact he looked to have the Nostalgia division Championship locked up heading into the 4 race mini series finale at the Mohawk International Raceway last fall.

However during the final laps while leading, the car experienced mechanical failure handing the title to Tim Hegarty.

“That was a tough pill to swallow” explained Larrivee “But we hope to be back in the hunt again this season, we had a great time last year”.

Matt would like to acknowledge the marketing partners who currently help both he and Tom with the ’36 Caddy Coupe. Crills Service & Tires, Aces IV Fuel & Oil Treatment, both from Boonville, NY.
