Another Partner Signs On For 11th Dirt Track Heroes Show

Story By: STEVE PADOS / DIRT TRACK HEROES – PHILLIPSBURG, NJ – With the countdown entering the final two weeks, the Eleventh Annual Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Show staff is hustling to place the finishing touches to the show.

The management staff of the show has reached out to all race tracks and racing series with high hopes all will respond and be represented when the show begins on March 4th. The interest has been strong for the upcoming event and will bring the past, present and future of all auto racing ventures under one roof in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

The successful show kicks off on Sunday, March 4th with the honoring of one of the top local Modified stars “Billy T” Billy Tanzosh, a two-time Modified champion at Nazareth Speedway. Each night of the show will focus on different venues and series with a two show day happening on March 9th with the honoring of New Jersey driving legend Bobby Rossell. The show concludes on March 10th with a huge autograph and interview session and the presentations of “The Tas Awards.” presented by the Flemington Speedway Historical Society and Premio Foods.

The Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ, has proven to be a popular setting for this special event and will offer a multitude of race cars, racing memorabilia, collectibles and photos on display throughout the course of the show. The show continues to be FREE of charge to the mall traffic and the 2018 edition of the show will continue to be the trend setter of the many shows that are scheduled during the year. With an exciting and diverse schedule of events to whet the appetite of any true race fan, large crowds are expected to fill the wide walkways of the Phillipsburg Mall.

All historical racing groups including Flemington, Tri State, Reading, Harmony and Nazareth will have their memorabilia on display and their many scrapbooks open for the fans to take another long look at the glory years of racing and possibly find a picture or two they want to purchase as a keepsake from past glory or racing exploits. Cars on display include big and small block Modifieds, Sportsman, Drag Cars, 270 and 600 Sprints, Midgets, All Sprint car divisions, Wingless Sprints, Late Models, go-karts, quarter midgets and a broad range of vintage and restored race cars. Hamlin, Snydersville, New Egypt, Grandview, Big Diamond, Accord and Bridgeport will again be among the many speedways involved with the 2018 show. The week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the “Stars of Tomorrow” with a special night for the budding young racing talents competing with the many quarter midget clubs in the local area.
