Late Models To Make Four Visits To Can-Am Speedway In 2018

Story By: ROBERT THURSTON / CAN-AM SPEEDWAY – LAFARGEVILLE, NY – After a few years away from the fast 1/2 mile Can-Am Speedway, the always exciting Crate Late Models will make their return in 2018.

The Late Models will make four appearances this season. The first event will be Friday night May 18th as part of Military Appreciation Night at the Speedway. The full fendered Late Models will join Can-Am’s weekly divisions, DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, Pro Street Stocks, Rookie Sportsman and Thunder Cars.

They will return to the LaFargeville oval on July 6th for the Ron White Memorial for Thunder Stocks along with the DIRTcar Sportsman, Pro Street Stocks and Rookie Sportsman. It will also be $20 a car load night.

July 27th will be the next stop. The DIRTcar 358 Modifieds will have the night off for a DIRTcar Series race at the Brewerton Speedway and officials are sure that the Late Models will fill the void perfectly.

Their final date on the schedule will be Friday September 7th as they will help fill out the final program of the season. This will be night one of a two day show to close out the 2018 season at Can-Am. The night will be headlined by a DIRTcar Sportsman Series race plus the Late Models, Pro Street Stocks, Thunder Stocks and hot laps for the ESS Super Sprints.

The DIRTcar 358 Modifieds will also be invited to participate in 4-15 lap dashes, to prepare for their series event the following night. Dash winners will be guaranteed starting positions 13/14/15 and 16 for the Saturday night race.
