Story By: LAND OF LEGENDS RACEWAY – CANANDAIGUA, NY – Land of Legends Raceway’s traditional “Championship Weekend” has been held on Labor Day weekend for many, many years. This year, there is a Super DIRTcar Series race unexpectedly scheduled at Lebanon Valley which is a change from their traditional Thursday night.

While we were hopeful that DIRT would reconsider the decision to schedule this SDS race that conflicts with many Northeast tracks Championship night, that is not going to happen. So we have decided to make a change to be completely fair with all our Big Block Teams.

“I want to support all the Big Block drivers who are feeling the pinch of this conflict and I am going to move our traditional Championship Night up 1 week, to August 25th, for the Big Blocks only,” Promoter Paul Cole said.  “The rest of our racing classes will have their Championship Night on September 1st.  I prefer to put the best interest of our loyal Big Block drivers and teams first. I don’t want to see any team miss out on the great point fund money that we will be awarding due to a conflicting schedule.”

Land of Legends Raceway is committed to bringing the best possible competition to the track every Saturday night for a spectacular show!
