Land of Legends Raceway Announces 305 Sprint Car Plans For 2018
Story By: GREG EMERSON / LAND OF LEGENDS RACEWAY – CANANDAIGUA, NY – Land of Legends Raceway has announced the rules for the Mike Emhof Motorsports 305 Sprint Car Class for 2018.
“We are taking on a major effort to revitalize the weekly running of Sprint Cars at Land of Legends Raceway with the long term intentions of the class expanding across NY tracks. Our recognition of this huge opportunity has led us to an expanded collaboration with Mike Emhof Motorsports and his CRSA Sprint Car Series,” said promoter Paul Cole.
Land of Legends Raceway will be utilizing the CRSA technical rules for the engine, tire, and car package, while using our own point system and handicapping for the track championship. Full CRSA rules are posted on our webpage and information will be coming on CRSA licensing in the next few days.
In addition, Mike Emhof Motorsports has stepped up to become the title sponsor for the weekly track series.
Owner of MEM, Inc. & the CRSA Sprints, Mike Emhof stated, “From a business perspective, the collaboration between MEM, Inc and the 305 Sprints at the Land of Legends Raceway is spot on. Personally I am overflowing with joy for this opportunity of expansion of both the LOL Raceway 305 Sprints and the CRSA Sprints. I believe this will be one of the most productive seasons to date for this exciting yet affordable sprint car class. I can’t wait to get started!”
So far, the early indicators are that we might see an average of 18 to 20 cars every Saturday night, which could amount to a nearly $12,000 point fund on top of the weekly payouts. Add in the CRSA cars that will be traveling in from time to time and we will have lots of winged excitement for our race fans.
CRSA Sprints is a traveling series that will make stops across the state, and will be prevalent at the Canandaigua, NY venue 5 times during 2018. May 26th, June 22nd, June 23rd, July 21st and August 18th.
