Kevin Thomas Jr. Partners With Hoffman Auto Racing, Mean Green For 2018

Thomas Jr. and Hoffman Auto Racing have paired for the entirety of the 2018 season, and will make a run at the USAC National Sprint Car title.
“We were thrilled to be able to work out a partnership with Kevin, and to acquire his considerable driving talents for 2018,” said Richard Hoffman, owner and President of Hoffman Auto Racing. “We are confident that this combination will keep us in the hunt to win races, and that 12th USAC National Sprint Car Championship we are pursuing.”
Mean Green Cleaner and Degreaser will be returning to Hoffman Auto Racing (HAR) for its sixth consecutive year as the team’s title sponsor, along with Lykins Energy Solutions, XYZ Machining, Hoosier Tire, and a myriad of others.
Hoffman Auto Racing boasts 11 USAC National Sprint Car Championships, 109 USAC National wins across the three divisions, finished in the top 3 in USAC National Sprint Car owner’s points 20 times since 1989, and between 1973 and 1984 HAR fielded Indy Cars, including seven Indy 500 starts. Over 130 drivers have piloted the No.69 machine. Past drivers among the legendary team include, NASCAR Cup Champions, Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon, Rich Vogler, Dave Darland, Tim Richmond, Ryan Newman, Dave Steele, Pancho Carter, Kasey Kahne, and Kyle Larson.

It’s a great opportunity, and I’m incredibly thankful to get to be a small piece of their history. We’re going to make a run at the sprint car championship next year. I think it’d be cool to get them their 12th title. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing season this past year, and I hope we can duplicate it in 2018. Thomas Jr. capped off his 2017 season with a total of 20 wins; 1 winged sprint car victory and 19 non-wing sprint car victories.
