Diversity & Creativity Still Exist With The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour
Story By: JEFF CIGLICH / DIRT MODIFIED NOSTALGIA TOUR – NORTH AUGUSTA, ONT – With tight body rules governing the current Dirt Modified scene throughout the Northeast, some fans and competitors alike are looking for a change. Enter the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour series.
With OEM bodies such as Pintos, Vegas, Corvairs, Chevettes, Mustangs, Falcons, Coupes, Coaches and of course Gremlins racers have many creative options to make their car unique from others in the field. The result is mix of diverse open wheel cars that will have the fans just as excited to look at them as they are to watch them compete.
With the Modified division on 2 barrel carburetors and crate engines, a current Sportsman is easily converted over to the vintage look with a steel shell attached. Without downforce bodies, driving and setup become critical. The result is highly entertaining, side by side action with unique open wheel Modified style cars.
