Demetrios Drellos To Run For Nelson Racing At Fonda In 2018

Story By: ERIK NELSON / NELSON MOTORSPORTS – It is with great pleasure that Nelson Racing & Motorsports 2018 is announcing that we have a new driver for our team in 2018, Demetrios Drellos!

Demetrios Drellos, of Queensbury NY, will be behind the wheel of a brand new 2018 Bicknell Big Block Modified & will compete weekly at Fonda Speedway on Saturday nights in 2018. He will be running a John Grant Racing prepared big block sponsored by perennial sponsors Bloomfield’s Florist & Riley Mortuary.

Demetrios Drellos will drive his own family sponsored 111 Drellos Motorsports car at Malta on Friday nights. The Nelson Racing & Drellos Racing families both have long time roots in northeast racing & Fonda Speedway. The Drellos family & the 111 Team have provided winning cars driven by Fonda Legends Kenny Shoemaker, Pete Corey & many others in the past.. We look forward to a great season at “The Track of Champions” in 2018

Demetrios is coming off a “Jaw Dropping” performance at the WRG World Finals in Charlotte a month ago! He set one of fastest times & really made the fans & other competitors take notice of his accomplishments by showing the best in the business that he belonged there!
