Valenti Modified Racing Series Tentative Schedule Released For 2018

Column By: MATTHEW WIERNASZ / RPW – STAFFORD SPRINGS, CT – The Valenti Modified Racing Series released a 2018 tentative schedule on Sunday at Stafford Motor Speedway during a drivers/owners meeting. There is a total of 16 races on the schedule.

The series will kickoff their 2018 season at the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on April 7 with a one day event and will close their 2018 season at the 56th annual Sunoco World Series Of Racing on Saturday,October 13.

The series will return to where it all began after a one year hiatus to the Monadnock Speedway in Winchester for three races on Saturday, April 21st, July 7 and August 25 and with a return to the Lee USA Speedway for two races on Friday, July 27 and during Oktoberfest weekend on October 6. The series will also return to Speedway 51 on Saturday, June 16.

The second annual New England Shorttrack Showdown at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will return on June 23 and 24 to the schedule.

The series will head to the New London-Waterford Speedbowl for three races as they will be involved in their season opener on Saturday, May 4 and the other two races will be held on Saturday, August 11 and September 15. They will head to Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday, May 18 and August 31

The series will head to the state of Maine to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 4 and a race at Wiscasset Speedway with the date to be determined .
