Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park 2018 Schedule Announced
Column By: MATTHEW WIERNASZ / RPW – THOMPSON, CT – Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park announced their 2018 schedule on Monday. There will be seven events on the schedule in 2018.
The 44th annual Icebreaker will kickoff the 2018 season on April 7-8 featuring the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour for the first of four races at the 5/8 mile oval. The Valenti Modified Racing Series will be apart of the weekend with a 50 lap race on Saturday. There will be a Test & Tune Day on April 6.
The third annual Long Distance Race for the Limited Sportsman and Military Night presented by Pepsi will return on Sunday, May 20.
The third annual Thompson 125 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will be held on Wednesday, June 13.
The second annual NASCAR Busch North Throwback 100 will return with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East on Saturday, July 14 with a Test & Tune Day on Friday, July 13.
The 29th annual Bud King Of Beers 150 with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will return on Wednesday, August 8.
The third annual For The Fans Event along with the fifth annual Sunoco Modified 20/20 Sprint will return on Sunday, September 9
The 56th annual Sunoco World Series Of Racing will close out the 2018 season on Friday-Sunday October 12 through the 14.
