Ransomville Speedway Set To Close Out 2017 Season With Awards Banquet
Story By: STEVE PETTY / RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY – RANSOMVILLE, NY – The Ransomville Speedway will officially close out their 2017 season with the annual Awards Banquet, which takes place on Saturday, November 11 at the Lewiston #2 Fire Hall. Happy Hour will begin at 6pm with dinner being served at 7pm with the awards taking place after dinner.
For the third consecutive season, “The Ransomville Renegade” Ryan Susice from Ransomville, NY will be celebrating the Krown Undercoating 358 Modified track championship. For the second straight season, Tonawanda, NY’s Matt Farnham once again took home the championship trophy for the Investors Service Sportsman.
Second-generation driver Jake Stefanski from North Tonawanda, NY won his first career KiPo Chevrolet Street Stock championship. For the third time in the last four seasons, Niagara Falls, NY pilot Chris Leone took home the championship in the Gippsters Collision 4 Bangers. Second-generation driver Cameron Tuttle from Wilson, NY took home the track title for the Stevenson’s Hardware Novice Sportsman.
Besides the hardware and point fund money that will be distributed, several special awards will also be presented, such as the Trevor Wilkens Hard Charger, Pat Spina Mechanic of the Year, Ray MacIver Sportsmanship Award, Performance Award, Driver of the Year and Owner of the Year.
The Lewiston #2 Fire Hall is located at 1705 Saunders Settlement Rd, (Route 31). Donna Eick will cater the awards dinner. Come for laughs, food, music and more.
