Column By: ROBERT SYMONDS / RPW – DUNDEE, NY – It’s just been a little less than one month into the off-season and the management of Outlaw Speedway has kept fans anxious on social media for the return of dirt racing in the Finger Lakes.
Just announced yesterday (Thursday) evening at around 7pm local time, Outlaw Speedway had posted on their Facebook page that the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will be coming to the Dundee race track for the first time in 2018.
With nearly 100 shares on social media, the fans are looking forward to another annual visit of a national Late Model touring series to come to the New York region. In addition to the stars of the series, the World of Outlaws Late Model series will be looking to get teams from the New York, Pennsylvania, Ontario, and even Ohio regions to compete in their stop at the Outlaw Speedway.
This announcement comes after a prior announcement that the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series will be headed to the Outlaw Speedway twice in 2018. The ASCoC visited the speedway for their inaugural event in 2017 with Ryan Smith winning it for the PA Posse.
