No Hangover 150 At Ransomville Speedway In 2018

Story By: STEVE PETTY / RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY – RANSOMVILLE, NY – With the 2017 racing season in the rear-view mirror, the 2018 season is right around the corner as the track crew and speedway management is working hard and looking forward to what 2018 has to offer.

The traditional start of the season has always been the Hangover, but in 2018 that will not be the case as the event will not be taking place.

The track crew has been busy dumping so far 27 truckloads of new clay to the racy Ransomville surface. In total, nearly 300 truckloads of clay will be laid down. “We are waiting for more good days to come to continue to lay down the new clay on the track” states Ransomville Speedway General Manager Jenn Martin. “With the laying of the new clay, we are getting the track surface ready for an amazing 2018 season,” Martin said. “We had a great end to 2017 and are very excited for 2018 and having a great racing surface for our drivers” Martin added.

“The tradition of the Hangover has lasted nearly two decades,” says Ransomville Speedway Public Relations Director Steven Petty. “With the addition to the new clay that has been laid down on the track over the past couple weeks, we are making sure that we have the best surface for our drivers, so in turn they can put on a great show for the best race fans in Western New York and Southern Ontario each, and every Friday night” Petty added.
