Land of Legends Raceway Announces 2018 Track Point Fund

Story By: LAND OF LEGENDS RACEWAY – CANANDAIGUA, NY – Land of Legends Raceway would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! While doing so we are pleased to announce in advance our own way of thanking the drivers that will be entering races in next season.

For 2018, all drivers entering their car at Land of Legends Raceway will have 100% of their pit entry fee contributed to that classes point fund. All drivers who participate in 70% or more of the available races will earn point fund money regardless of the standings. This could mean a $12,000+ point fund for each class that averages 20 cars all season. More than $50,000 in point money could be distributed next fall.

“The Land of Legends Point Fund is designed to reward all those committed to investing their Saturday nights with our fans. The math is simple more cars, more point money,” said new promoter Paul Cole.

And this is all aside from the increased weekly purses that will be announced December 2nd at our driver/owner informational meetings. Those will be held at the Shortsville American Legion, Rt 21, Shortsville, NY. Please note the time for each class.

These meetings will include updates on the schedule, purses, point funds, general rules, class rules, track news and much more.

2018 Land of Legends Raceway Point Fund

Each driver will pay $30 pit entry fee at sign in. 100% will be contributed to that class LLR Season Point Fund. There will be no additional fee to enter the pits for the driver. Weekly totals will be posted.

All drivers participating in 70% of the point races will receive point fund money. Each additional race over 70 % will increase point fund share. Top 10 will share in remaining point fund.

Example –

Presume that Land of Legends averages 20 Street stocks on average for the season.

$30 x 20 entries x 20 races = $12,000 point fund

16 cars attend 70% of races All of them receive $200. Another $25 for each additional race attended up to $150 in this case. Remaining funds are paid out based on Top 10 point standings.
