Britten & Graham Ready To Tackle World Finals In Charlotte

Story By: MANDEE PAUCH / PETER BRITTEN RACING – WEEDSPORT, NY – Peter Britten and Ray Graham proved that they are a force to be reckoned with after their debut at Oswego Speedway for Super DIRT Week. Now, the dynamic duo is pleased to announce they will be heading south to take on the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the World Finals.

“We had a great car and almost won the biggest race in modified racing together at Oswego, which is pretty promising heading into Charlotte,” noted Britten. “It’s a little bit of a different racetrack down there than Oswego but we’re really looking forward to it.”

Last year Britten rounded up a 10th and 14th-place finish at The Dirt Track. “We were a good top-ten car last year,” he added.

Britten has taken quite the liking to the fourth-tenths-mile clay oval. “Charlotte has been good to me in the past,” he said. “On two occasions I’ve come really close to winning the race. I’d consider it one of my better racetracks.”

Britten and Graham are feeling confident as they put the final touches on the No.21a before they head south. “I feel like we’re going to be one of the bigger threats down there. We survived Oswego pretty well so we should be in pretty good shape getting ready for down there.”

Britten’s year seemed to have started off as a struggle but as soon as he jumped behind the wheel of the new Troyer TD4 midsummer, things turned around for the better.

Britten picked up his first ever Super DIRTcar Series career victory at Sharon Speedway in July then went on to win three more races. With 49 races under his belt this season, Britten has collected four wins, 22 top-five’s and 35 top-ten’s.

Britten currently sits ninth in the Super DIRTcar Series championship points as he heads into the final two nights at The Dirt Track to conclude the 2017 season.

“Obviously being a new deal with Ray’s stuff, there’s a lot of pieces to the puzzle,” added Britten. “We got a lot of work done before Oswego. We built a brand new car and Kevin Enders built us a new motor. The proof is in the pudding. We ran really well with this car at Oswego so the combination works.

Myself and Ray and everyone involved are really excited to head down there.”

The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway is a popular destination among Super DIRTcar Series drivers; Britten and Graham have shown they are a strong combination and are feeling confident to grab their first victory together on the big stage.
