Billy Pauch Jr. Set For A Full Weekend of Racing

Story By: MANDEE PAUCH / PAUCH RACING – MILFORD, NJ – The versatile driver out of Milford, NJ, Billy Pauch Jr., is set to tackle a big weekend of racing. Pauch is scheduled to be behind the wheel of three different racecars at three different races, in two different states.

“We have a pretty busy weekend coming up,” added Pauch. “I couldn’t pull it off without all of the people who help make this happen.”

Last week Pauch made his first ever trip to I-88 Speedway on Saturday, October 17th for the Short Track Super Nationals in the Pizza Pizzazz No.22 Modified.

“We pulled 92 out of 100 right at the gate,” Pauch Jr. said.

Pauch’s pill draw lined him up on the inside of the fifth row for his heat race.

Pauch finished fourth, missing the transfer by one spot.

“Missing the heat by one put us on the pole of the consi,” he said. “We went on to win it.”

Pauch started on the outside of the eleventh row for the main event.

“I wish we were able to draw better that night but we were able to make something of it and move forward through the night.”

Pauch capped off the night with an eighth-place finish.

This past Saturday saw Pauch at Grandview Speedway for the ‘Mods at the Madhouse’ in the Breitenstein No.14.

Pauch finished second in his heat race, which put him in the top-12 redraw.

Pauch started on the outside of the fourth row for the 40-lap main event.

“We didn’t have a good restart game,” added Pauch. “Once the car got rolling I felt we were as good as anyone. We just need to work on out starts. Otherwise I was pretty happy.”

After a post race disqualification Pauch was credited a fifth-place finish.

Pauch has a full plate of racing looking ahead to this upcoming weekend.

Thursday evening Pauch will be at Orange County Fair Speedway in the Danny’s Pizza Pizzazz No.51 Small Block Modified with the Short Track Super Series.

Pauch will then be back at Orange County on Friday, but in his own No.15 Big Block Modified for his first ever Eastern States Weekend.

After qualifying Friday evening, Pauch will be making the trip South to New Egypt Speedway on Saturday to race the All Star Cup in the Holsten No.96 Small Block Modified.

Pauch will close out the four-day race weekend back at Orange County on Sunday.
