Ronnie Johnson & Jake Spraker Part Ways After Two Seasons
Column By: RACE PRO WEEKLY – GLOVERSVILLE, NY – In a bit of a surprise, Jake Spraker has confirmed to Race Pro Weekly that he and Ronnie Johnson have mutually agreed to part ways. Johnson returned the Modifieds to Spraker’s shop on Wednesday evening.
In two seasons together, Ronnie and Jake won the 2016 Fonda Speedway Modified track championship while finishing third this past season. They also finished in the top five in points in both seasons at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday nights.
Spraker stated that the team’s Sportsman driver, Rocky Warner, will move up to run the team’s Big Block Modified for the final two shows at Fonda Speedway this season and will be making the move to Big Blocks full-time in 2018.
At press time, no information as to what Johnson will be doing for the rest of 2017 or the future.
