Cory Haas Will Join All Stars At Port Royal For Tuscarora Weekend

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – In hopes of continuing a trend of consistent performances in Central Pennsylvania, most recently capturing a pair of top-ten finishes at Williams Grove Speedway during Labor Day weekend, York’s own Cory Haas will join Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions at Port Royal Speedway during the upcoming weekend, set to throw his hat in the ring for a shot at $50,000.

Haas, pilot of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports/ Eagle Steel/Trone Outdoor Advertising/No. 39, will enter the 50th Annual Tuscarora 50 during his trip to the Juniata County Fairgrounds. The two-day showcase, complete with two, full Arctic Cat All Star programs, will activate with the Night Before The 50 preliminary main event on Friday awarding $5,000, followed by the 50-lap, Tuscarora 50 finale worth $50,000.

“We’re pretty excited to get back to Port Royal Speedway. We have some things we want to try, so now is the time to put them into practice,” Cory Haas explained. “This event is historic. I’m ready for the opportunity to be a part of it.”

Haas’ most recent performance in Central Pennsylvania resulted in a top-five finish; fifth during the Billy Kimmel Memorial at Williams Grove Speedway on Sunday, September 3. Just two nights prior, Haas finished ninth during the Van May Tribute, now ninth in the updated Williams Grove Speedway track championship. Speaking of track championships, Haas recently wrapped up his 2017 Lincoln Speedway campaign; sixth in the final track championship standings. The second generation racer earned nine top-five finishes in the Pigeon Hills this season, the third highest of any regular competitor.
