Tim Kerr Looking Forward To New Weekend After Positive Night At Fulton
Story By: CLAYTON JOHNS / TIM KERR MOTORSPORTS – PICTON, ONT – Tim Kerr got back on the right track during Big-Block Modified action at Fulton Speedway last Saturday night. Friday’s action at Brewerton Speedway was rained out following heat race action. Kerr had finished sixth in the third heat.
The following night at Fulton, Kerr finished sixth in his heat again before driving to a 15th-place finish. However, the result doesn’t do justice the performance. After a handful of frustrating weeks, Kerr hot his Village Variety/Home Hardward Picton No.07 trending upward and raced on the cusp of a top-10 spot. A slowly deflating right-rear tire over the final 15 laps cost him his chance at a top-10 finish and resulted in the 15th-place run.
“I think we were decent,” Kerr said. “We had a right-rear tire going soft in the last half and we faded. We are going to make a carburetor change this week and see if it helps the motor drive a little better.”
Kerr will return to action on Friday, August 11 at Brewerton Speedway and will also be in action on Saturday, August 12 at Fulton Speedway again this week. For additional event information on either night, visit www.fultonspeedway.com.
