Mechanical Woes End Night Early For Paul Gilardi At Lebanon Valley
Story By: BOBBY CHALMERS / GILARDI MOTORSPORTS – PITTSFIELD, MA – Coming off his first top five of the 2017 season, Paul Gilardi and his team were looking for another solid finish last Saturday at Lebanon Valley.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be as mechanical problems relegated them to a 22nd place finish.
“The car just wasn’t where we needed it to be tonight,” Gilardi said. “We weren’t that good and something happened inside the motor. Not sure what it is but this team is strong and we’ll keep plugging away.”
The team has decided to forgo Thursday night’s Mr. DIRT Track USA event at the Valley to get ready for the final points night of the season. They are also evaluating the rest of the 2017 season to see if they will hit any special shows this fall.
“We’re not sure what we’re going to do for the rest of the year,” he said. “We had some decent runs this year and that was thanks to the new HigFab Chassis we were running. Hopefully we can figure some things out and get things in line for 2018.”
The next event for the Superior Seamless Gutters team will be this Saturday at Lebanon Valley as it’s the final night of points for the Big Block Modifieds. Snap-On Tools is the presenting sponsor and gates open at 5pm.
