Cory Haas Earns All Star Podium At Lincoln Speedway

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – Securing his ninth Lincoln Speedway top-five finish of the 2017 season, York’s own Cory Haas scored a podium run against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Saturday, August 19.

The pilot of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports/Eagle Steel/York PB Truss/No. 39 finished third, officially, against “America’s Series” in the Pigeon Hills, maintaining a top-three position during the entire 30-lap program after starting on the point. Haas qualified for the $5,000-to-win main event by finishing second during heat race competition.

In addition to his podium performance, Cory Haas finished 15th against the Arctic Cat All Stars at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 18. Haas has qualified for four Arctic Cat All Star main events in 2017.

“We were a little too free on Saturday,” Haas said. “We were actually a lot better in traffic. We needed that last green flag run to go the rest of the distance. I thought we had something for Glenndon (Forsythe), but I didn’t get quite aggressive enough on those restarts. Regardless, we’re happy with this finish. We’ve been close a few times this year at Lincoln. Our turn is coming soon.”

Kicking off a busy stretch of schedule that includes back-to-back three-race weekends in Central Pennsylvania, Cory Haas will continue his 2017 campaign with three events in three days stretching from Friday, August 25, to Sunday, August 27. The second generation racer will visit Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway and Trail-Way Speedway, respectively, during his upcoming triple-header, launching the weekend with a Yellow Breeches 500 program at “The Grove” on Friday night.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for this opportunity,” Cory Haas explained. “We continue to get better and better and that is really motivating. Like I said before, we’ve been so close to getting that first win of the year. We’d love to add a mark in the ‘w-column’ this weekend.”
