Four-Race All Star Swing In Central PA Headlines Smith’s Weekend Agenda

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / RYAN SMITH RACING – KUNKLETOWN, PA – After a two week break on the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions campaign trail, one of which spent at Mansfield (OH) Motor Speedway for the inaugural Great Lakes Dirt Nationals, the “Kunkletown Kid” Ryan Smith will return to Arctic Cat All Star commitments, this time aiming to score a victory on home dirt.

The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will spend four consecutive nights in Posse Country during the upcoming weekend, a stretch that will include visits to Grandview Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway and Susquehanna Speedway, respectively. Action will ignite officially on Thursday evening, August 17, at the Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville. Smith will enter the weekend second in the Arctic Cat All Star driver standings, accumulating one victory, as well as a grand total of 18 top-ten finishes.

Smith, regular pilot of the Tom and Sherry Leidig/Warko Group/Auto Electric of Jupiter, FL/Rick’s Auto Body/No. 59, will begin his Central Pennsylvania rounds behind the wheel of the familiar Warko Group/C&B Chubby/S&S Speedways/No. 94.

“We’re definitely excited for the upcoming weekend. This is a great opportunity for us to race in front of our home fans, as well as race at tracks that are a little more familiar to us,” Smith explained. “The plan is to start the weekend in the ‘94.’ We’ll see how things go at Grandview Speedway before we make any decisions for the next three nights. Regardless, we’re excited.”

During recent competition, Ryan Smith made the tow to Mansfield (OH) Motor Speedway for the inaugural Great Lakes Dirt Nationals on Saturday, August 12. Bettering most of the 63 entries on hand for the $15,000-to-win showcase, Smith qualified for the main event and advanced from 13th to finish 11th.
