TJ Michael Earns Top Ten At Orange County

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / MICHAEL MOTORSPORTS – FREMONT, OH – Continuing a busy stretch of Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael recently wrapped up a three-race swing in the Empire State, visiting three different ovals between July 28-30, two of which new to his racing resume.

The Plano, Texas, native highlighted his trip to New York with an eighth place finish at Orange County Fair Speedway, advancing two positions after starting on the outside of row five.

Michael qualified for all three main events during the recent weekend, also finishing 19th at Outlaw Speedway and 18th at Lebanon Valley Speedway.

With the Arctic Cat All Star schedule on break until Thursday, August 17, T.J. Michael will spend the next two weekends away from the driver’s seat; a time to reset and regroup before revisiting Pennsylvania Posse Country.

“We’ve been busy. We are going to take a few weekends off and reset our minds a little bit,” Michael explained, pilot of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Kear’s Speed Shop/Shell Shock/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Crown Battery/No. 8M. “Our New York trip was a lot of fun. We made a lot of laps which ended up being really valuable. Things have been up and down for us this year, but we are still determined. I’m blessed to be out here racing.”

T.J. Michael will enter his schedule break with two top-ten finishes during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition in 2017, earning 24 main event starts since kicking off the season in early February.
