ULMS Super LMs Invade Freedom Motorsports Park Friday
Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – The excitement, speed and thunder of the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models make their first visit of the year to Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday July 14.
The Super Late Models will race in the third annual Ron Baker Memorial which was rained out on the original date of May 26. The 30 lap $2500 to win event is brought to you by Yorkshire Battery. Joining the Super Late Models will be the Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman, Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks.

The ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models at Freedom will feature the best drivers from New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio in action. Leading the Pennsylvania charge will be point leader Dave Hess of Waterford, who finished second in the Freedom show in 2016. He will be joined by last year’s winner Max Blair out of Centerville. Also expected to represent the Keystone State are David Scott of Garland, Bob Rohrer of Waterford, Doug Eck of Corry and Damian Bidwell of Eldred. Bidwell has captured numerous crate late model wins at the speedway.
The top flight New York contingent of Greg Oakes of Franklinville, Brent Rhebergen of Clymer, John Lacki of Sinclairville and Nathan Hill of East Otto will defend the Empire State. Oakes currently holds second place in the ULMS points and took advantage of the early practice session to dial in his ride. The Buckeye State will have Breyton Santee of North Kingsville, Ohio, in the field.
Come out and experience the special “Thrill on the Hill” excitement that the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models produce at the area’s fastest racetrack. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30 pm on Friday July 14. Adult admission for this special event is $17, seniors are $15, students (9-15) are $8 and kids under 8 are admitted free.
