Story By: RYAN HILL / RPW – RIDGEFIELD, CT – Lebanon Valley Big Block Modified veteran Eddie Marshall straps in for today’s installment of RPW’s The Ten. Eddie has been piloting the Marshall Oil CO #98 for over 30 seasons.

1- WHY ARE YOU #98?
Back when I first started racing I saw an Indy Car racecar with a 98 and it caught my eye, it has been my number ever since.

2- WHAT IS A BUCKET LIST TRACK FOR YOU TO RACE AT?
Eldora Speedway.

3- WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST RACING MOMENT?
The 1999 Syracuse Labor Day Race. We had a dominant car in a great field of drivers and cars.

4- WHAT IS YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING RACING MOMENT?
25 years ago I didn’t get the steering wheel properly clipped, it did not go well.

5- WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE DRIVER GROWING UP?
My father Ernie Marshall, I grew up watching and rooting for him.

6- WHAT IS ONE RACE YOU WANT TO WIN THE MOST?
Syracuse… but since that is not an option anymore I would say Mr. Dirt Track USA at Lebanon Valley.

7- WHAT IS YOUR STRENGTH AS A DRIVER?
Consistency.

8- WHAT IS A WEAKNESS AS A DRIVER?
Not traveling, and getting out to different tracks and learning from those experiences.

9- IF YOU WERE NOT DRIVING A BIG BLOCK MODIFIED WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO RACE?
I have tried road racing in the past, so I would probably say I would do some road races.

10- HOW DOES RACING AFFECT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE?
Racing takes up most of my time, so it means a lot of commitment from my family, and also a lot of time away from them.
