Jersey Rush VII Postponed; Make Up Date To Be Announced

Story By: BOB MILLER / THUNDER ON THE HILL – NEW EGYPT, NJ – With an unexpected rain storm popping up mid-evening. race officials were forced to postpone Tuesday’s Pioneer Pole Buildings Jersey Rush VII – 410 Sprint Car and Modified double header. The originally scheduled Wednesday rain date is also canceled. The Jersey Rush VII will happen as officials work to re-schedule.

With concern for competitors coming such a far distance, the originally scheduled Wednesday rain date will not be used.

“It’s an unfortunate circumstance,” Co-Promoter Bob Miller stated. “Len Sammons and I, both believe in this event and are determined to find a date that works best for everyone involved.”

Jersey Rush staff is working with New Egypt Speedway staff to select a date that will be advantageous for both the fans and competitors. That date will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

We thank the fans and teams that came out to support Jersey Rush VII and encourage everyone to hold on to their wristbands until the rain date.

Once the Jersey Rush VII make-up date is announced, fans will witness the ultimate double header with two of the region’s most popular racing divisions – the 410 Sprint Cars and a 358 vs. Big Block Modified Challenge. Both divisions will compete in 30-lap feature events, with the Sprint Car event paying $5,000 to win and the Modified event paying $3,000 to win.
