Stenhouse Jr. Wood Racing & Joey Saldana Part Ways

Information By: STENHOUSE JR. – WOOD RACING – INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Stenhouse Jr.-Wood Racing announced on Friday that they have parted ways with driver Joey Saldana.

Saldana posted four top fives and 11 top-10 finishes in 37 starts this season behind the wheel of the Elk Grove Ford/Roth Investments No. 17. He is a 99-time winner with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

Today we and Joey Saldana have decided to part ways. Joey helped us build this team and we wish him the best in future endeavors.‬

The internet blew up over the situation as to who would be the replacement.

It was announced later in the day that Jac Haudenschild would fill the seat during this weekend’s pair of events at Iowa’s West Liberty Raceway and Wisconsin’s Beaver Dam Raceway. “Haud” returns to action after more than a week off after suffering a broken nose. He is not expected to be the permanent replacement with the new full-timer to be announced in the coming weeks.
