Sixth On Saturday Gets Jeseo Back On Right Track

Story By: DANI SEIPP / SCOTT HAMLIN RACING – AVERILL PARK, NY – 2017 has been a rollercoaster ride for the Scott Hamlin Racing 25 Team. Making the switch to a PMC chassis has been a great move for the team.

Chad Jeseo is very happy with the support from Pete on and off the track. As the team is learning each week, they know they have the resources and the car to win but still need to fine tune. Specifically, the team is looking to read the track better.

“You have to be able to find the fastest line before anyone else” Chad adds “That is very hard to do when the veterans have already seen every surface we face and know what they like and what to do.”

This past weekend was one of “ups” for the 25 Team. The weather held off which allowed for a great night of racing. The car was fast out of the gate and that carried over to the heat race. Jeseo started first in his heat and ran away with the lead, which would allow him the 2nd place start for the feature.

The feature ran caution free from green to checkers, and Jeseo spend most of the race running down Mike King. By lap 18, Keith Flach had caught up with Jeseo and made the pass in turn 2. Fighting tire fall off, Jeseo would finish 6th in the feature only giving up position to the likes of Tremont, Marshall, and Hearn.

The team now looks to Tuesday night where they will compete in Brett Hearn’s Big Show 9.

Different tracks will present different problems but, will also allow drivers and teams to gain a lot of knowledge. This will only be Jeseo’s second race at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in a Big Block Modified.

“The track seemed very racey and very well prepared, hopefully the weather cooperates and allows Lyle and his team to prep the track and provide the surface we need.” Chad said.
