Outlaw Mods, NY6A Micro Sprints Featured Friday At Freedom
Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – The Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds will be joined this week by the first visit of the NY6A 600 Micro Sprint Tour on Sixt Lumber Night at Freedom Motorsports Park. The Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman, Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Plumbing Mini Stocks round out the card. The green flag is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday June 9.
For all of your lumber and building material needs, the place to go is Sixt Lumber. With two locations, 13990 East Schutt Road in Chaffee and 619 Rock City Road in Little Valley, they give new meaning to the words “Family Business” and provide their customers with top quality service and a personal touch. Their fleet of trucks delivers special orders and building material products directly to jobsites, so there’s no need to interrupt work crews and lose time by making unnecessary trips to the lumberyard. For all of your lumber and building supplies, you can reach Sixt Lumber in Chaffee at 716-492-2390 and in Little Valley at 716-938-6521.
The Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds now have two shows under their belt and each feature was taken by a big block with Brad Rapp and Shayne Pierce gracing victory lane. For Rapp, it was his first win in six years and it was the first career big block win for Pierce. Only two drivers, Adam Hilton and Ron Cartwright Jr., have finished in the top five in both races. Hilton leads Cartwright in the point standings by a scant three markers going into the Friday June 9 event.
The new clay surface has turned out smooth and fast and has received tremendous praise from the competitors. During last Friday’s races, Adam Hilton set an unofficial record in Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modified heat two with a lap of 14.685. Adam Leslie set a new track record in the Tidds Towing Dirtcar Sportsman time trials with a lap of 15.178.
James Friesen in the Tidds Towing DIRTcar Sportsman, Dennis Cummings in the Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and Brad Shepard in the Danny Heineman & Sons Plumbing Mini Stocks lead their respective standings.
Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission is only $14, $13 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
