Kid’s Night This Friday At Albany-Saratoga

Story By: MATT KEITH / ALBANY-SARATOGA SPEEDWAY – MALTA, NY – Friday night June 23, 2017 is the night to be at Albany-Saratoga Speedway if you are a kid. That night is the annual “Kiddie Rides” where children of all ages get a ride in their favorite Albany-Saratoga driver’s car as he takes them around the famed Malta oval.

In addition, there will be a bike raffle for the children. Numerous drivers, race teams, sponsors, fans and officials donate bikes to the raffle. Many of the bikes are not brought in until the night of the raffle and organizer Marcy Mangino is hoping for over 100 bikes to be able to be raffled.

Children are able to choose which bike they would like to win and enter their name for that bike. The winner receives the bike from the fan, driver, official, crew member or sponsor who donated the bike, thus giving the children further interaction with the drivers and event sponsors. This is done in front of the grandstands for all to see.

On the race track that evening all divisions including the 4-Cylinders will be action. For the Modified and Sportsman divisions a qualifying spot for the “MR. Dirt Track USA” event to be held at the Lebanon Valley Speedway on Thursday, September1, is on the line.

Pit gates open at 4 pm. Front gates open at 5.pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $2 for children 11 and under.
