Utica-Rome Cancels For Sunday Due To Rain

Story By: JOHN TIFF / UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY – VERNON, NY – Due to heavy rains that have persisted the past several days with more forecasted on raceday. Utica-Rome Speedway has canceled all planned racing activities scheduled for Sunday May 7.

Wilber-Duck Chevrolet was to present a full slate of Gates-Cole Auto Insurance Modifieds, Broedel Energy Sportsman, Pro Stocks, Novice Sportsman, and Demolition Derby. Track officials will consider rescheduling the King’s Smash’em Crash’em Demo Derby at a later date.

The next event on the schedule is Sunday, May 14, when Wilber-Duck Chevrolet presents a special Mother’s Day event that will feature the Gates-Cole Auto Insurance Modifieds plus the opening rounds of the King of Dirt Sportsman and Pro Stock Series.
